I was told recently that the Police armed defenders squad have been seen around Lake Alice which I gather would have been for training as it had been going on for around a week plus what else would they do out in a place like that, don't say to arrest trespasses because that would be a waste of tax payers money. Please make note of the person who left a helpful comment on the blog entry below which will be of interest as they where out there in the weekend (20/9) by day and their were arrests. The main Swimming pool was knocked down a few months ago and it appears after the Police's visit a small part of the Nurses quarters has been demolished. I would say this is leading the way slowly for the rest of the derelict buildings to follow, It was only a matter of time! Pictures: left Nurses quarters , Right Pool

It's kind of like an unheralded end of an era. Once the last buildings are demolished, then that will be it, a part of our history, gone.

i lived in the staff housing in the early 90's with my dad i loved it there, the pool and the games rooms lots of things to do always Your comment will be posted after it is approved.
