About the website:
I want to tell everyone abit about the site. Why I started it and who I am.
First off my names Nathan. I started the Lake Alice Hospital website in 2008 because there was no information on the hospital online, I was just as interested in the place as you. I had gone out there at night time with friends and upon returning many times become really intrigued with the history and fascinated by the notorious buildings. I had a interest in Urban Exploration, abandoned buildings and Lake Alice helped my hobby grow. I remember the first time I visited it was June/July 2006 (before the sale) and we took flash lights and the property was so massive that we went back the next night. Some people probably thought it was disrespectful to be hanging around a old abandoned hospital, but I really enjoyed my time out there, the old buildings where cool in there own way and they spoke history whether it be bad or good. The Maximum was lots of fun to explore, and the hanging metal clothing basket that someone had hung from the roof, always caught us off guard. Don't know why we never took it down, guess to catch others by surprise. When it was first brought in 2006 I became friendly with the caretaker and this opened up a whole new world of opportunities, especially for photography this been why I have so many photos today of the place. I wish I had utilized that more, and I bet others do to that I had invited along and always said they couldn't make it.
