Incredible photographs and extremely dramatic expecially with the grey overcast sky in the distance. Great work!

Hi Nathan, do you still have permission to visit the property for photos? I am visiting the old abandoned Fever Hospital in Wellington later this month, but would love to be able to photograph at Lake Alice too. Thanks, Susan

I was driving past lake Alice and as we got closer I got a uneasy feeling and started feeling sick. Have there been rumors of hauntings there?

Well there are some that have suggested the place is haunted. And there are others that would sneak around the place in the dark looking for ghosts. Dismantling the buildings has taken most of the fun out of that. But there are still a lot of lives haunted by their experiences there. So yes, I suppose it is fair to say the place is haunted, or at least, the lives many of those still living, that passed through the place, are. Hope that answers your question.

I was in Villa 6 and received ECT in the early 1985-1989 it was painful and hate the nurses who did it by which by force and control but not fix the problem.

Thats just the way it was back then, you don;t want closure, you want money. Just move on.

The abuse inflicted upon the children under the care of Dr. Leeks occurred during the 70's. By 1979 Dr. Leeks had left LA for Australia. This did not happen circa 1985-89. That said, it does not mean that there was not similar abuse during that period, though, I suspect, not on the scale that occurred under Dr. Leeks.
