Recently there was a incident where a group of people where caught out at LA late one night last week. They where arrested by the police, this is a warning to others to be careful because the owners are clearly on high alert. Remember if you do go there and take or vandalize anything you are giving the police a reason to arrest you.
Make sure to leave a comment if you have information about the going on's at the hospital as I know it's still a hot spot for visitors and with Halloween next month it will only attract many more!!

I'm thinking of trying out the idea of a gallery/page on the website dedicated to other peoples photography/pictures of Lake Alice or maybe even other defunct places in general. This which may lead to in the future such things as uploading your own images etc. Of course you would remain soul copyright owner of all images and I would happily remove your content at your request if you decided after awhile you don't want it online. So if you are interested in having your pictures posted on the website email it through to me so we can try it out...

The Palmerston North Library's Archives department are planning their second Local History Week.
This will be a week long celebration highlighting the rich history of both Palmerston North and the Manawatu region.
I hope to promote Lake Alice and its history further with the public aswell as our other many fantastic locations. If you would like to find out more about History week visit the Palmerston North Library website.

TV 3's 60 Minutes ran a documentary tonight on abuse in a boys home near Wellington during the 1970-80's. These youths where subjected to physical, mental and of course emotional abuse while one or 2 men mentioned they where sexually abused, I am sure they where not the only ones!
So back in 2003-4 I think it was, Sonja Cooper was to represent a few of the Lake Alice patients to gain further compo & return of there fee's.
She is now representing the Men from the Wellington boys home. This is the same woman to whom did the Lake Alice paper work incorrectly so it would be declined and also made negative remarks towards the case.
She is now taking the government to court to sue for a whooping $1 million a patient! Just think how much she will make? On top of all this it makes you wonder if she just used LA as a learning curve for her future legal 'plans'. These men deserve something for the horrible acts that were subjected upon them but PLEASE get a grip on reality the LA patients got barely enough for a deposit for a house and while a few others did get a slightly larger sum it was no more then $100,000. Is this amount enough for being locked up and physically, sexually and medically ABUSED... Uh NO!
Cooper is a money hungry vermin she couldn't help the LA patients to even get there legal fee's back yet she thinks she has a case for a bunch of teenagers who where beaten up in a prison style boys home, isn't that what happens in those condition's? The youths in Lake Alice where in there to be helped with there so called mental condition not for it to be made worse by the ones whom there parents entrusted.
The government need to finish what they started
and Cooper 'keep on dreaming!

So I thought I would start a blog so I could rant on about what goes on and also to put my own opinion out there about certain topics, obviously one been Lake Alice & the lack of justice!
This is also a good way to keep the public up to date with what is going on with the Lake Alice Human Rights and Lake Alice property it's self.
